The receptionist changed our room to be on the ground floor as my elderly mother uses a walking frame. That was very kind of them. The breakfast we were originally advised was a £16.50 extra at booking but not paid for/or preordered in advance and the cost had gone up to £17.95 each when we arrived. However, the breakfast had a full menu including various bakery options, cereals, fruit salad, yogurts, various hot breakfasts, juices coffee and tea. All food and drink was of excellent quality and the taste was great. The hotel was very good at dealing with my rapeseed allergy and amending my hot breakfast. The room and all hotel areas were excellently cleaned and we would stay here again

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were out most of the time but it suited our needs and they made an effort to make our stay a bit special as it was my husband's birthday. The location is perfect if you're exploring St Albans. We spent the afternoon and eve in London but it was straightforward to get the train and we had a lovely morning the following day enjoying the local shops and cafes. We were able to leave our car in the hotel car parking space till we were ready to leave so the whole stay worked really well.

Margaret

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and quick service of cooked options, though these were a little large for my appetite! The room was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel, and the pillows were the plumpest and softest ever. The ensuite bathroom was impressive. Location was ideal for my needs. Hairdryer and iron provided although it took a while to find them.

Jackie

Breakfast great Location super Staff excellent polite and very helpful But as I said the room really spoilt everything. I understand you were booked up but I ordered in March. I wanted a twin bedded room and I completely understand you weren’t able to give me one. BUT I come to Uk a lot and to see outside is essential for me But we had a lovely time

Averil

Really lovely hotel and we would stay again, the rooms have been renovated and the design is very nice with a nice big flatscreen tv. The staff were very nice, friendly and quick to act and helpful. We would stay again despite a few cleanliness issues. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can not comment on it.
